El Questro - The Homestead, a Luxury Lodge of Australia, is the only property in the Kimberley to earn a Michelin Key in the recently announced guide's 2026 selection.
The Homestead joins a select field of just three Western Australian hotels to hold a Key, and one of only 54 across the country.
Tucked among ancient cliffs and green lawns deep in the Kimberley, The Homestead is an adults-only, all-inclusive retreat set across almost 700,000 acres. Its 10 suites are cantilevered over the Chamberlain River, each opening to a private terrace and uninterrupted views of the ranges.
Days are as full or as slow as guests choose with activities ranging from a cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, guided walks to the region's most spectacular gorges, afternoons in the thermal waters of Zebedee Springs, and, among the most significant, Injiid Marlabu Calls Us, a First Nations experience shared on the Traditional Lands of the Wanjina Wungurr Wilinggin and Balanggarra peoples. They start and end at the table: breakfast and lunch on the veranda above Chamberlain Gorge, a three-course dinner each evening under the stars matched with Australian wines, and a daily-changing modern Australian menu built on seasonal produce from the Ord River Valley.
“Delivering world-class dining and guest experiences that are truly unforgettable, in one of the most remote parts of the country, is something our team is deeply dedicated to every day of the season,” said Ross Boobyer, General Manager, El Questro – Homestead. “To have this dedication and attention to guest experience recognised alongside the world’s great hotels shows just what regional Australia can deliver. Most importantly, it’s about creating experiences that stay with our guests long after they leave and inspire them to come back again and again.”
