El Questro is a magical and ancient landscape where unique experiences are had and lifelong memories are made. Getting out and about is easy from wherever you choose to stay. Daily tours are available with pick-up from various locations across El Questro. If self-guiding adventures are your thing - simply collect a map from reception or have a chat with a Ranger who can assist you with your personal adventure. With 700,000 acres to explore, we understand that "where to start" may be difficult - as such we have designed the must do experiences and some itineraries for you to enjoy or inspire you further in creating your own.

For our guests staying at The Homestead, our dedicated reservations team will be in touch after you book your stay to help craft your bespoke itinerary. If you’re staying at The Station, Emma Gorge, or one of our Private Campsites, we recommend booking your experiences in advance to ensure you don’t miss out. Zebedee Springs Walk

A short walk into a natural oasis through tropical vegetation where rock thermal pools await. At the base of sheer cliff faces and set amongst lush Livistona palms - it is a magical place to relax and rejuvenate in the warm water. Zebedee Springs is open from 7am-12pm daily from April to October

Cockburn Circuit

A 133km round trip from Gibb River Road, the Cockburn Circuit is El Questro's most scenic track. It circumnavigates the Cockburn Range, showcasing tidal rivers, mud-flats, and Savannah plains.

Explosion Gorge 4WD Track

Drive 17km from The Station to Explosion Gorge, part of the Chamberlain Gorge system. The track winds along the Elgee Cliffs escarpment, passing access points to waterholes and Branko's Lookout.

Pigeon Hole 4WD Track

This 4WD track leads into an unexplored area. The waterhole at the end of this steep track is a good spot for fishing and the lookout halfway features an excellent view to the surrounding ranges.

Champagne Springs

Be prepared as hiking to Champagne Springs is a little different to all other El Questro walks, meaning that it's a bit tricky.

Amalia Gorge Trail

Amalia Gorge is best seen after the wet season when waterfalls cascade from pool to pool. In the dry season, it's an easy walk with some rock scrambling and ledge hopping.

El Questro Gorge Trail

Take a walk along this narrow spring-fed creek through palm and fern clad escarpments to a small, crystal clear swimming hole, where you can relax and drink in the beauty of the rainforest.

Emma Gorge Trail

Emma Gorge is a stunning Kimberley gorge. Enjoy a challenging, partially shaded, one-hour walk and end with a refreshing swim in a large waterhole.
